Tunic is a genuinely well put together game. The way it layers secrets and discovery feels intentional and rewarding — the in-game manual mechanic is clever, and uncovering things naturally as you explore is one of the best parts of the experience.

The last boss is brutally hard, but in a way that feels earned given how the rest of the game builds. It's a proper challenge.

My main complaint is the parry system. It felt slow and unresponsive — there's a noticeable input delay that made it frustrating to use reliably. In a game where combat timing matters, that's a real issue. Didn't ruin it, but it's the one mechanical thing that let the game down.

Overall though, Tunic is the kind of game that sticks with you. The secrets are genuinely cool and the whole thing feels lovingly crafted.
